With a decently higher strength than the previous shield, the Shield Of Vernworth is arguably the best easy shield to find and use in the Vermund region that any Fighter should consider saving up for.

While still not very heavy at 2.3 kg, this shield can be purchased in Battahl and taken up to the endgame without players really needing an upgrade unless they want one. This shield does cost a good bit, but Bakbattahl offers a few easy quests to earn Gold.

Dragon’s Faith is the best shield a fighter can get in the base game. Offering the highest Strength of anything in the base game, its Knockdown Power does start to get close to that of the Daughter Of The Evening.
This shield does take a bit more work to get than those that can be purchased and will require players to find and traverse the Dragonsbreath Tower, a late-game dungeon with a very powerful boss within. This tower can be reached upon reaching Battahl, letting those daring enough get a very powerful shield early in the game.
A Good Start To The Endgame
The Dread Aspis is the best shield money can buy, but only for those who have reached theendgame content.With players jumping around the map at this point, it can be purchased at most major towns, offering a great and quick upgrade to prepare players for what’s ahead.
Dread Aspis does offer a huge jump in Strength compared to the next closest option on this list, but only a slight boost in Knockdown Power. With its stats, it’s the first definitively best shield compared to all previous options on the list, only being beaten out by one.
