Broly is the Legendary Super Saiyan who has captured fans’ imagination since his introduction in theDragon Ballseries. He is the least talked about Saiyan due to his lack of presence and acknowledgment in the manga of the series. In every sense of the term, Broly is not canon. He appeared in a movie first, and his return inDragon Ball Super: Brolycemented his place as one of the franchise’s most formidable characters.
With his immense potential and unique abilities, the prospect of Broly joining the Z-Fighters seems like an obvious move. Yet Toriyama refused to let Broly enter the series. Broly has a lot of unique points— not only does he bring raw power that surpasses both Goku and Vegeta (probably even combined), but he also has a unique background.
Making Broly canon would also offer a perspective on Saiyan heritage that hasn’t been explored deeply. Saiyans, in the truest sense of the word, would only include Vegeta in the main story as Goku was on Earth since he was an infant. Broly’s character development could add layers of depth to the story.
The mutated Super Saiyan is over-powered
Broly’s best attribute is his mutated Saiyan physiology. He was one among countless, even when Saiyans were a fearsome race. His form is one that allows him to tap into incredible strength that other Saiyans can’t reach. Unlike Goku and Vegeta, who need to continuously push their limits through training and enter new transformations,Broly’s poweris more instinctive and primal; it is within his body, and he only needs to call upon it to harness it.
His Wrathful form channels the power of a Great Ape while maintaining a humanoid state, the form seems to not be something he changes into, but one that bursts forth from within him. This is something neither Goku nor Vegeta can replicate, and his combat ability makes him an invaluable asset to the Z-Fighters.

Broly’s inclusion would enrich the narrative because it would mean there would be new arcs centered around his personal growth. Watching Broly learn to control his immense power and adapt to a team dynamic and Earth’s modern lifestyle would be a refreshing change from the usual Goku-and-Vegeta arcs.
Broly would be a great addition to the Saiyan roster
Making Broly a Z-Fighter would also canonize all of his transformations; this means that he would take Goku’s title to become the firstLegendary Super Saiyanin a thousand years of Saiyan history. His forms, from the legendary berserker form to his more controlled Super Saiyan states, combined with his raw potential, could pave the way for intense battles and power-ups.
The visual appeal of Broly’sforms is undeniable, as the only way to describe them is ‘cool’ and ‘awe-inspiring.’Dragon Ballseries has long departed from trying to explore the Saiyan race’s legacy.

Both Goku and Vegeta might have decided not to resurrect the battle-thirsty race and unleash it upon the universe. Goku and Vegeta represent the pinnacle of Saiyan training and discipline, and Broly embodies the untamed, raw potential of a Saiyan.
