Supreme Kai, who was introduced during the Buu Saga, fits in the latter, where fans thought of him as a skeptical personality who is probably an agent of chaos.
The perspective changed when it was unveiled that he was a Supreme Kai and is there to stop Majin Buu from getting resurrected. Later, in the Z series, he became a part of the main cast and has been quite popular among the fandom. However, one question about the character kept lingering in the minds of the fans, that is, the origin behind the character.

A content creator (@SmugStick) shared on their YouTube channel, where they mention how Akira Toriyama had already answered this question in theSuper Exciting Guide Book,that“they are all born from the Kaiju tree.”
This question was also answered in Episode 6 ofDragon Ball DAIMA,which adapted and expanded the lore, where fans learned that their race is called the Glind.
The episode further showcased that they come from the second Demon World, where they have five trees, whereas Glinds being born from the same trees are considered to be siblings. Unlike human beings, this mysterious race is born every few centuries, each having a lifespan of about 75,000 years.
The newborns grow up in a castle-like school, and when Kai dies, a new one replaces them, who is selected via lottery. Unlike what is being showcased, how some Kais are feminine, they are gender neutral. The creator also stated that the manga artist explained how the ones born from the Golden Fruit are chosen to be Supreme Kai, while those born from the ordinary fruit bear become Kaios like North Kai.

Despite Toriyama-Sensei answering the question ages ago,DAIMAadapting the idea and giving the tale its unique twist was something interesting and answered the question, but that does not mean that the community is convinced.
The fandom is divided, where some add to the theory, while some outright reject what the series showcased in its recent episode. They commented,

And why is zamasu so racist against mortals if glinds were originally mortals from the second demon world? Does he not know about that? If so, why does shin know about it and not zamasu. All this just opens up a whole lot of plot holes if you ask me.”

Beerus/Whis aren’t a thing yet since this takes place before super, but this is an origin story is lame and makes no sense. “The universes all imported their gods from the demon realm” makes 0 sense lore-wise”

Nevertheless,DAIMAhas been doing a great job in bringing forth the storytelling aspect of the show, which wouldremind the fans of the mangakaand hisDragon Ballseries that was aired all the way back in 1986.
