DOOM: The Dark Ages: Best PC Settings
Here’s how to optimize your settings to get the most out of DOOM: The Dark Ages on PC.

Note – Not all chapters in Doom: The Dark Ages have a Codex. If they’re not listed below, then that means they lack a Codex.
Chapter 1 – Village Of Khalim
Doom Slayer -This early collectible is found after clearing out the portal and discovering the obelisks with the blue writing. The Codex is found floating on the island behind it.
Village of Khalim –Near the end of the stage, after clearing out the enemies in the final area, there’s a path to the right. You can find it there.
Chapter 2 – Hebeth
Hebeth -This is found near some crates after battling some Imps near the entrance to the Weapon’s Facility. Just follow the map if you’re unsure.
Chapter 4 – Sentinel Barracks
Sentinel Barracks -This one is right near the second Upgrade station. Just follow the gold and you’ll find the Codex.
Chapter 5 – The Holy City Of Aratum
The Holy City of Aratum -On the landing pad where you get the Super Shotfun, there is a building with two wooden platforms. From the entrance, go around to the right-hand side, break the red chain, and shield bash the crate over to the other side. You can now jump on the left platform near the entrance, access a cache of gold, and find the Codex.
Deag Loric -This is near where you find the Cycler weapon. Just drop from the ledge where it’s seen on the map to get some gold and this Codex.
Chapter 6 – Siege: Part 1
Kreed Makyr -Look for the Toy statue of Kreed Makyr near one of the Upgrade stations. You need to drop on the ledge near it to nab this Codex.
Siege: Part 1 -Look for the tunnel entrance lit by two blue-flamed torches at the far end of the map from where you began. Inside is a dungeon that involves lowering a block using a shield throw by breaking a red lock. This will lead you outside to an area where you can jump over the gap to grab a Codex.

Chapter 7 – Siege: Part 2
Siege Part 2 –This is an easy one. Once you have the Secret Key, drop into the courtyard, head to this point in the map to find the Siege Part 2 Codex.
Chapter 8 – Abyssal Forest
Abyssal Forest –Look for the faint blue mark on the wall of thorns. This can be smashed to lead to the Codex.
Chapter 9 – Ancestral Forge
Ancestral Forge -This is found in the starting area by dropping off the ledge and onto a platform below.
King Novik –Once you reach the end of the stage and enter the futuristic platform section, look up for the red breakable link. Smash it, turn around, and head to the lift that’spowered by the blue shield spot. Throw the shield to raise it. Then, turn around again and you’ll see a climbable platform. Jump onto this, and you’re able to use a green shield spot to reach two platforms with a Codex anda Weapon Skin.
Chapter 10 – The Forsaken Plains
Prince Azkrak -Can be accessed when you get the Secret Key.
The Forsaken Plains -Found right after you reach the second Upgrade station.
Chapter 12 – Sentinel Command Station
Sentinel Command Station –An easy one. Go through the stage and you’ll spot an open chamber with some gold and the Codex.
Chapter 14 – Spire Of Nerathul
Spire of Nerathul -This can be found after completing the Gore Puzzle in the stage seen in the image above. To reach it, look for the dripping green pillar.
Serrat -After unlocking the BFC, you’ll need to ascend the tower to free Serrat. You can find the Codex while nearing the top of the tower.
Chapter 15 – City Of Ry’uul
City of Ry’uul –Near the start of the stage, you’ll come across a chest. Drop off the ledge, and follow the path seen on the map to reach the Codex.
Chapter 16 – The Kar’Thul Marshes
The Witch -Go to the area marked on the map, and you’ll see a blue shield spot peeking out through the wall.Throw the shield, and it will open the nearby door to Codex. Be careful, as it will spawn monsters.
Chapter 17 – Temple Of Lomarith
Temple of Lomarith–When you enter the underwater ships section, you should easily be able to find/spot the Codex on the map.
Chapter 18 – Belly Of The Beast
Commander Thira -Not very well hidden. It’s in the same area as the munching tunnel that damages you when you approach. Simply go backwards from the objective and you’ll easy find it.
Chapter 19 – Harbor Of Souls
Harbor of Souls -From the Red Skull door, head to the right, then drop down from the ledge onto the left. There you’ll find gold and the Codex.
Hell Priest -Near the end of the stage, the ship will have a corridor opposite the objective that leads to the Hell Priest Codex.
Chapter 20 – Resurrection
Resurrection– Once you have the Yellow Key, you can unlock the door at this location for a Toy and a Codex.
Commander Valen– Once you do the dragon stage and land on the ship, simply walk backwards, and you’ll find the Commander Valen Codex.
Chapter 22 – Reckoning
Marok- This is found at the beginning of the stage. After the first corridor, the Codex can be found to the right of the tunnel.
