The mystery surrounding Loki inOne Pieceis truly something that catches the eye, however, there still remain so many questions unanswered about him. With the series speeding ahead, fans now seem to only care about the secrets that may lie beneath his mysterious exterior.

To which ancient powers does he hold the key? What drives his motivation for all the things he has done so far? The possibilities are endless. His revelation actually does have the power to blow everything off and totally change the course of the story.
However, with fans going crazy in speculations, one thing remains certain: Loki’s sinister mystique needs to stay as such; the evil inside him has to be protected at all costs. Now why is this a concern? Because Oda might actually be hinting toward a rather anticlimactic ending to Loki’s revelation.

Oda might make readers think that Loki is actually “misunderstood”!
While anyone can tell there’s a bad omen surrounding Loki’s entire presence inOne Piece, the nagging feeling persists that what ifEiichiro Odais trying to manipulate us into believing in Loki’s innocence? Are we being skillfully steered to sympathize with the villain? Frankly speaking, judging on Oda’s story-telling prowess, it is possible that he might be hiding a complex exploration of the sinister façade about Loki!
However, one cannot disagree that Loki’s past actions tell a very different story. His previous sins have left an indelible mark on the Giants and the entire Warland. In fact, the sheer scale of his atrocities can earn hima spot alongside infamous villains like Kaido and Doflamingo.

But what if Loki’s true nature goes against everything we expected? Being inspired by Norse mythology, Oda could have kept the twist that Loki, a misunderstood hero, waits to be freed by Luffy’s hands, as seen in the Wano and Egghead arcs.

This, however, only increases questions instead of providing answers:what is hiding in Loki’s past, and what makes him act this way in the present? Or would it actually be the right approach for the series’ current narrative?
Why should Loki stay evil as he was initially introduced to us?
MakingLoki seem justified or misunderstoodmight sound like a noble approach, but it’s been done before in the series so many times that in the current context, it may feel a bit repetitive. We’ve already seen enough “not so evil” characters with complex backstories and motivations, so another “misunderstood villain” reveal might feel underwhelming.

Oda can present him as something truly sinister and asan embodiment of pure evil; holding on to outdated cultural values and failing to acknowledge the past wrongs committed. This may well be translated to the corruption of the World Government and with Loki’s character arc, we can get to see more exploration of this aspect.
With all the sins Loki has committed so far, like killing his dad to gain the throne, threatening Luffy with murder, and being a brat since he was little, this guy cannot certainly be innocent, right?
