What can players expect from Diablo 4’s next season?
With all the new gameplay changes coming toDiablo 4in its third season, there’s enough content to create the hype needed for sustaining a faithful player base. One of the big introductions includes Gauntlet; a new Challenge Dungeon that rotates on a weekly basis and switches up location, dungeon layouts, and enemy types.
Furthermore, it is a timed challenge that ensures that whatever loot players are able to gain throughout the playthrough is dropped during completion. Clever time-management! Players who have unlocked World Tier 4 can access the Gauntlet challenges, even though hitting Level 100 isn’t needed.
The new season will also pay attention to how Helltides work. These region-wide events are getting an overhaul, improving key aspects along with the time taken to complete them. Helltides will now run for 55 minutes (once every hour) throughout the entirety of Season 3. Previously, there used to be a 2-hour, 15-minute cooldown between resets, which was quite the wait period.
The philosophy behind this lies in the willingness to keep players motivated to earn more Helltides rewards, making for a healthy gameplay loop.
