Artifact perks are what define the meta of a season. Last season, it was allVoid and volatile rounds. This time, inDestiny 2’s Season of the Deep, the artifact mod focuses on Arc, Strand, and Void.

We have a collection of champion perks like always this time being anti-barrier Auto Rifles, overload Scout and Trace Rifles, and unstoppable Hand Cannons and Glaives. However, we have some great synergistic perks which are an absolute must-have for our builds.

10Technicolor Siphon

Technicolor Siphon is an artifact mod that affects the general build crafting mods. This mod states: “Grants access to Helmet armor mods that combine the effect of Strand siphon mod and Arc siphon mod.” Siphon mods are the ones that allow a player to generate an orb of power on rapid weapon final blows (the weapons must be of the same alignment as the siphon mod).

Orbs of power are the core of build crafting right now. Orbs of power grant the player armor charges that give players a damage boost or faster ability regeneration. No doubt orbs of power are extremely beneficial to a player, and having a mod that allows two weapon energy types to generate an orb of power is a great thing to have.

9Electric Armor

Electric Armor on its own is not a super useful mod. It states “Stay amplified longer while your Arc subclass is equipped.” This is approximately a 5-second increase, taking the duration of Amplification from 15 seconds to 20 seconds.

Electric Armor shines because of the rest of theArc modson this list and how they all utilize amplification to function. So, having Electric Armor is pretty nice as it increases the amplification duration by a solid duration.

8Lightning Strikes Twice

Lightning Strikes Twice is a returning artifact mod that states: “After throwing an Arc grenade, gain increased grenade recharge for a short time. Arc final blows extend the duration of this benefit.”

This increased grenade recharge time is noticeable but not impressive like other sources in the game.

However, equipping this mod costs absolutely nothing, and when you are in combat, this mod will help yourArc builds.

7Thunderous Retort

Thunderous Retort states: “Grants bonus Arc super damage if cast while critically wounded or while amplified. Lasts until the end of super activation.” Bonus damage is always appreciated in Destiny 2, and Thunderous Retort is free super damage.

This is particularly beneficial to thewarlock Arc superslacking in the damage department. Titan and Hunter Arc supers are already some of the best damage options in the game with the correct setup.

6Strand Soldier

Strand Soldier, as the name suggests, is a Strand artifact mod that states: “Your Strand weapons gain unraveling rounds whenever you gain Woven Mail while your Strand subclass is equipped.” Woven Mail is incredibly easy to get, especially forTitan Berserkers, so you will have 100 percent unraveling rounds uptime.

Unraveling rounds allows Strand weapons to create small projectiles that appear when you damage a combatant. These projectiles further damage the targets while also unraveling them.

5Unto The Breach

Unto The Breach is a Void exclusive perk that states: “Defeating a Void debuffed target creates a Void breach while you have a Void subclass equipped.” Void debuffed targets are those that are affected by volatile, weakened, or suppression, which is relatively easy to do — especially if you are aVoid Hunter.

Void Breaches are Void elemental pickups that grant melee energy on pickup. Granted, melee on Void subclasses is not that great, but we can combine Void breaches with the Void fragment, which provides us devour on Void breach pickups to get instant healing — or we can combine it with the next artifact perk on this list.

4Protective Breach

Protective Breach has great synergy with Unto The Breach and states that: “Picking up a Void breach gives you an Overshields or refreshes your existing Overshields.” Overshields are extremely strong in Destiny 2, both in Crucible and PvE. They provide you with an extra 50 health and a 50% damage reduction in PvE, making them very useful.

This artifact mod pairs well with Unto the Breach, which can easily generate Void breaches, hence making an extremely easy yet effective loop. So, if you enjoy Void shenanigans, the combination of Unto The Breach and Protective Breach is the way to go.

Amped Up is an Arc-specific perk that states: “Gain damage resistance when amplified.” This is a great artifact mod considering that Arc is the only subclass in the game with no damage resistance or a source of healing. Void has Devour and Overshields, Strand has Woven Mail, Solar has Cure and Restoration, and Stasis has damage resistance and Overshields.

Though we do not know how much damage resistance this perk gives, it is better than nothing. This mod does not require anything to work, as you are almost always amplified when you are on anArc subclass. So, if you are planning to use an Arc subclass this season on any class, this mod is a must-have.

2Shock And Awe

Shock and Awe have to be one of the best ad-clearing artifact perks that Bungie ever released. It is an Arc-exclusive perk and states: “Arc final blows while you are amplified summon a burst of lightning that damages and jolts target.” Jolt is still the strongest subclass debuff when compared to Incandescent and Volatile, and the ability to jolt just by using any Arc weapon without any specific requirement is insane.

When you are amplified, any Arc weapon or ability final blow will summon a lightning bolt. It is important to note that this lightning bolt is on a five-second cooldown and will jolt not one but every single enemy that comes in its radius, clearing an entire room with absolute ease.

1Supernova

The mods Unto The Breach and Protective Breach have an amazing synergy, but this synergy does not stop at just those two mods; there is another final column mod called Supernova. Supernova states that “Picking up a Void breach causes your next source of Void damage to create a large weakening pulse.” Weaken is a Void subclass verb that causes targets affected by it to take more damage.

Though we do not know the percentage by which this mod weakens the enemy combatant, the fact is that weakening is an incredibly strong debuff, and thanks to this mod, it is incredibly easy to apply. We are already creating a lot of Void breaches thanks to the mod Unto The Breach and getting Overshield thanks to Protective Breach, making Supernova a cherry on top and weakening the enemy in a large area.
