Demon SlayerSeason 3 picked up the pace in the third episode by pitting Muichiro (The Mist Hashira) against the Upper-Rank Demons. Hantengu, the legendary and fearsome Upper-Rank Four Demon, blew Muichiro miles away from the battleground before the Hashira could fight. So, we didn’t get to see much of Muichiro’s ability against the Upper-Rank, but that’ll hopefully change in episode 4.

Tanjiro, who’s still healing after his intense battle with Gyutaro and Daki, is also caught up in this fight. But this time, Zenitsu and Inosuke are not by Tanjiro’s side; instead, our beloved protagonist is forced to team up with Genya, the arrogant and mysterious member of the Demon Slayer Corps. Now, everyone’s eager to see how effective this strange team-up will prove against two Upper Ranks.

Demon Slayer Season 3 Recap
In the first three episodes, we’ve seen Tanjiro coming out of a coma and healing from his lethal injuries. Soon after getting out of bed, Tanjiro heads towards the Swordsmith Village to find Hotaru Haganezuka. However, before finding his swordmaker, Tanjiro comes across the 300-year sword of thelegendary Demon Slayer, Yoriichi. At the same time, Hantengu (Upper Rank 4) andGyokko(Upper Rank 5) find their way to the Swordsmith Village. They intend to weaken the Demon Slayers by killing everymasked swordmakerin the village. However, the duo finds the Mist Hashira, Genya, and Tanjiro standing in their way.
After being decapitated by Muichiro,Hantengu unveiled his split personalities- Sekido, Karaku, Aizetsu, and Urogi. Each of these personalities comes with different powers and fighting styles.
While Sekido uses hisKhakkharato paralyze Tanjiro and Nezuko, Karaku uses his maple-leaf weapon to blow Muichiro miles away from the village. To make things worse, Urogi gravely injures Tanjiro, whileGenya gets stabbed by Aizetsu.
Muichiro started running towards the village, but before he could catch up with Tanjiro and Genya, he came across a kid who wasabout to get eaten by a Fish demon. Initially, Muichiro thought of focusing on the main battle and letting the kid die, but he then recalls everything that Tanjiro said about helping others. So, he decides to fight the Fish demon and save the kid.
