Arkane Lyon, the developers behindDishonored 2andDeathloop, along with Arkane Austin, the team behindPrey, are hiring programmers for the next unannounced AAA titles, according to their official job listing pages at ZeniMax’s website.
Originally announced at E3 2019,Deathloopis the next story-driven first-person game coming from Arkane Lyon, the team behind both entries ofDishonored. WhileDeathloopwas supposed to be a launch title for PS5, the developers decided to push it back to 2021 in order to have enough time for polishing the game and delivering it in the best shape possible. That being said, it seems the studio has already started working on the next project:they are hiring in some positionsincluding Tools Programmer, Lead UI/UX, and Engine Programmer, to join their team on developing a “new unannounced game.”
On the other hand,Arkane Austinis also doing the same thing by hiring a Technical Engineer for their “next AAA title.” The studio has been tight-lipped about its next project since the time they deliveredPreyback in 2017. Unfortunately, none of the job listings share anything interesting about the upcoming titles. However, a sequel toPreyfrom Arkane Austin and probably the third installment forDishonoredseries from Arkane Lyon would make a great line-up for Xbox Series X|S and PC in the future.
With ZeniMax joining Microsoft’s Xbox, all the developing studios' of Bethesda will be parts of Xbox Game Studios, meaning they will likely receive more resources and a higher budget for their next ambitious projects.
Despite joining Microsoft, Arkane Lyon’sDeathloopwill still be a PS5 timed-exclusive, but it will come directly to Xbox Game Pass as soon as the exclusivity deal with Sony expires. The same goes for Shinji Mikami’sGhostwire: Tokyoas well.
Deathloopwill be available early in 2021 for PS5 and PC.
