How To Unlock & Find Wild Animals
To get the option of finding these wild animals and transporting them to safety, you’ll first have to complete Main Order No. 15,where you have to rescue the test subject Kangaroo amidst the firestorm and bring it back to the animal shelter.
Afterward, you should receive an offer from the CHVRCHES crew upon completing the delivery, asking whether Sam can help provide a new home for any other surviving wildlife species in the shelter. You can complete this task whenever you encounter an animal in the wild as an optional activity.
The location of the wild animals in the game can be a bit tricky, as they can spawn in any of the open-ended areas around the continent, especially near the animal shelter around the valley’s topsides.The following are the types of animals you can find in the world:
Since locations can vary,I strongly recommend using the Odradek Scanner to highlight any animal’s silhouette temporarily.Otherwise, they can be difficult to spot in the environment, or worse, you might accidentally run them over as roadkill. But once you do spot one, that’s your cue to run in and pack them up as cargo.

How To Rescue & Transport Wild Animals
Approach the animal you want to rescue. Once you’re near enough, you’ll have the option to turn it into cargo, as shown above. Be sure to do it immediately, as they tend to become spooked and run around when you get close to them.
Here’s the important bit to remember:theselarge animal cases are fragile cargo, so you’ll need to be careful when transporting them back to the animal shelter. Furthermore, they can only be carried on Sam’s back or in a vehicle, meaning you can’tfast-travel on the DHV Megallanwhile carrying them.
Although the animal cases need to be delivered straight to the Animal Shelter,thankfully, there’s the option to have these pieces of cargo entrusted to facilities and other preppers in the vicinity,so you may have them safely delivered by someone else in case you don’t want to head far out to the shelter yourself.
For delivering a wild animal to the shelter for the first time, you’ll receive the Creature Comforter Trophy/Achievement.
Once you have delivered these animals to safety, you can then find them hanging around the front of the shelter. And unfortunately, no, you cannot pet these critters, but if you approach them politely enough, you can give them likes, just like other animals here sheltered by your fellow porters.

It is important to note that animals can diedue to the Timefall rain. I mean, there’s a reason why Lauren from the shelter tasked us in the first place to save them, or have Timefall Shelters constructed in the area to give them a brief solace from the rain.
So, if you’re like me and happen to stumble on a wombat or any animal in the world that dies suddenly due to the rain, don’t worry,the developers have provided us with a fantastic option to bury the creature and mark a resting place for them at their deathplace.
This will create a quaint, little, holographic burial site for the animal,and if you’re playing in online mode, you can actually spot more of these around the world planted by other players.
However, remember when I mentioned how you can accidentally kill these critters while making deliveries via vehicles? The game will punish you by deducting 100 likes, which doesn’t sound like much, but come on, you should still feel some remorse for unintentional roadkills.
