If you have been focusing solely on the main campaign inDead Island 2, then you should know that there is plenty of other stuff to do in the game, including Missing Person quests. The usual process to unlock the Missing Person task in the Lost & Found questline is to check the boardnear the doctor’s office in Serling Hotel.

However, to get the Missing: Davis quest, players need to ensure that they have progressed far enough in the story toreach the Santa Monica Pier. Once they have unlocked that area, Davis' quest should pop up automatically in the Serling Hotel. After interacting with the poster, players will get the destination for their quest, which is, Venice Beach.
Finding Davis
Head to the quest area on the map by simplyfast traveling to the Blue Crab Grill at Venice Beach. Your objective is tolocate a bunch of buses, and it is very likely that you have seen that area before if you have been to Venice Beach. If you haven’t, then you need to head to the northeastern part of Venice Beach, right across the street in front of the Blue Crab Grill. You will find a number oforange and blue buses with “Sunset Bus"written on it. Right near therear exit of the bus, you will find a cluethat will lead you to your next destination for finding Davis, The Pier.Fast travel to the Santa Monica Pierto proceed to the next part of the quest.
Once you are at the Santa Monica Pier,head towards the northeastern partof the map once again, to find a Hot Dog shop. Head to thefencing and go across it through the hole on the leftmost end. You will be attacked by a few zombies, so verify you don’t let your guard down. If you explore the area a bit, Davis would come out in a while, and you need to defeat him to complete the quest. Davis is a regular Crusher, so he shouldn’t be that difficult to deal with, although it might get slightly tricky because of the limited area. Once you have defeated Davis, you should get1,500 XP and an Improvised Hammeras the rewards for the Quest.
