First-person shooting games have been pretty popular in the last decade. Since the inception of online multiplayer mode and competitions, there has been more exposure to these FPS games. Iconic games likeCounter-StrikeandCall of Dutyreleased new installments featuring a better multiplayer mode for the new generation gamers to spend their time on.

Several gamers have become professional gamers and have made a name for themselves. One of the better-known names in professional gaming is Michael Grzesiek, popularly known as Shroud. He recently commented on the latest FPS game, The Finals, and the gaming community went wild over his remarks. His remarks were not well taken by theCall of Dutyfans, and they immediately countered him.
Shroud’s Remarks Left TheCall of DutyGamers Fuming
Recently, during one of his Twitch streams,he spoke about the latest FPS game,The Finals. He said,“A lot of people don’t understand this game; it’s too much for the ‘COD brain,’ I think.”This comment gave birth to a controversy between the two gaming communities. Shroud told it in a sense that The Finals is a new online multiplayer game, and people might take time to get habituated to it.
Once they become habituated, it will become easier for them. He usedCall of Dutyfor context. The game could be a little confusing since it is brand new and could be a new challenge for individuals who have yet to play anything likeThe Finals. But this comment was not taken by theCall of Dutygaming community.

Call of DutyGamers React to Shroud
Call of Dutyis one of the most popular gaming franchises. It has one of the vast gaming communities, and seeingShroud’s remarks, they were not quiet. Several counter remarks came from theCoDfans, who mentioned The Finals having the same mechanism asCoDwith running around and gunning people. The Finals require the same brains asCall of Duty.
The gamers criticized Shroud for his comments and added howThe Finalsneeds more time to fully develop itself. One of the huge problems with the FPS is its lengthy battle pass. The Finalshas a lot of scope in the FPS business and could be a crucial stakeholder in professional multiplayer games. Withover 10 milliondownloads, it is boasting massive figures but is pretty new compared toCall of Duty.

Shroud, a former professional gamer, could have framed his words better. Even though he might not have intended to throw theCoDoff-track, his words touched their nerves. Rivalry between gaming communities is pretty common. It will be interesting to see whether Shroud could have potentially given birth to another rivalry.
