After months of months of rumors and leaks dating back to last year, it looks like Activision will finally revealCrash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Timetomorrow. This is according to anofficial status updatefrom the game’s Twitter account earlier today:
The teaser trailer is in the old school commercial style of using mascot versions of the characters, mainly Crash himself, to represent them as crazy visuals run amok on screen. It was like going back in time to the 90s again and I loved every moment of it.
While the 20 second teaser didn’t reveal much other than the title, there are tons of things we could end up seeing tomorrow. Gameplay, the roster of characters, some story details, the consoles, and/or the release date. The reveal will be on June 22nd at 8am PDT. The latest leaks, which the tweet above references, are fromTaiwanâs Ratings Boardand showed off the boxart. It was then confirmed by the development studio, Toys for Bob, later on.
Before then, rumors were abound concerning the latest entry. Last year social media influencers werereceiving Christmas-themedCrash Bandicootproducts from Activision.
Another rumor that surfaced in February of this year declared that we’d be getting aCrash Bandicootendless runner mobile game, whichturned out to be true.
Previous titles in the franchise include the spinoffCrash Team Racing Nitro-Fueledand the remakeCrash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy. The later managed to surpass 10 million units sold, according to Activision Blizzard’s financial results as of 2018.
The game, developed by Toys for Bob and published by Activision sold immensely well in 2017, where it ended up withmore UK salesthan any other PS4 exclusive. In August 2017ÂCrash Bandicoot: N.
