Chrono Odyssey was originally announced in2023and there hasn’t been a ton of information available on the upcoming MMORPG until now.Developed by Chrono Studio, and published by Kakao Games, they’ve just announced the closed beta test will take place in June andsign-ups are now openonSteam.
To give fans a sneak-peak of what’s to come in the new CBT, Chrono Odyssey have posted anew trailershowing stunning visuals of their upcomingopen-worldgame powered byUnreal Engine 5. The game will take place in a nightmarish world named Setera full of evil entities, where you’ll use time manipulation to survive and conquer.
Closed Beta Test Sign-Ups Are Now Open

“We’re excited to announce that the Closed Beta Test (CBT) is on the way. Available on PC via Steam Playtest, the CBT will feature early main story quests and three playable classes:Swordsman, Ranger, and Berserker. Althoughthe CBT will only be available to PC users, it will provide valuable information for the development team to make improvements before its full release, which is “currently slated to release in Q4 2025.” (viammorpg.com)
According to the Chrono Odyssey Development Team, a focus group test was held in February, and participants were able to play the game and give feedback to developers in preparation for the closed beta test.
“Many players participated and thanks to the amazing feedback and in-depth data, we’ve been able to further move forward with the direction of the game. Since then, we’ve been focusing on refining areas that needed improvement and pushing the overall polish to the next level.” (viaSteam)
During the focus group test, the development team was able to see what areas and content were the most popular among players.

While there’s still a lot of mystery regarding this new MMORPG, we do know that it will be aseamless open-world game, with action-based combat revolving around themanipulation of time.
