In the interview dated back to January this year, Williams stated that Tucker— who is still alive— is not really the same person as he was back when he starred in the original film. Without mincing any words, the comedian stated:
We lost some great people before this movie could come out regardless… And the Chris Tucker that we got now is ‘Epstein Island’ Chris Tucker, not Smokey…
Williams’ controversial comments were in line with previously released documents that claim the late s*x offender was in close proximity to several Hollywood A-listers and other influential and famous people (viaThe Guardian). While there has been no confirmation that Tucker ever visited Epstein Island, he did however travel in his private plane while on a humanitarian trip to Africa, as the actor himself revealed in an interview withAll Urban Central.
