Carrie-Anne Moss On Playing A Jedi Master InThe Acolyte
Disney+’sThe Acolytewill give the audience a look atCarrie-Anne Moss’ Jedi Master Indara, a figure destined to introduce a unique blend of martial arts expertise to the High Republic Era. In an interview withEmpire Magazine, showrunner Leslye Headland shared:
She is very much inspired by Trinity. I personally wanted to see someone who had the highest status you could imagine in a Force-fu fight – somebody that would come in, and you immediately would be like, ‘Oh, that’s the most powerful Jedi in the room.’ And that’s Trinity.

Headland has no qualms with fans watchingThe Acolyteand thinking about Trinity with a lightsaber. In fact, she and Moss are more than happy with that. The actress told the outlet:
Within my soul and my spirit, to get to play this Jedi Master and train for the fight was [an] amazing experience. A part of me forgot how much I love action. I love it. It’s hard. But I was just really thrilled that I could do it, and I wanted to do it well.

The showrunner has previously expressed her admiration for Moss and her co-stars for willingly performing their own stunts. This can be a hint that Jedi Master Indara will be involved in a lot of battles in the show.
The cast ofThe Acolytealso featuresLee Jung-jae,Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Amandla Stenberg, Barnett, Rebecca Henderson, Jodie Turner-Smith, Dean-Charles Chapman, and Joonas Suotamo.
