Details about the game are thin on the ground, but it will likely take place in theBlack Opstimeline and reportedly be set during theGulf War. The first game in the series was developed by Treyarch and released in 2010. Treyarch is rumored to be leading the development this time.

In a series of leaks, a user dubbed, HeyImAlan, shared an image showcasing a large number of game files that appear to be associated with the in-game multiplayer loadouts. Ten images include texts indicating the default MP loadouts.

Many appeared excited about this while some questioned the different loadouts in the game. A user pointed out the fact that melee weapons will have their own slot, similar toModern Warfare Remastered. This too became asubject of debate recentlywhen the possibility of the feature coming to the game was suggested.

As of now, 55 weapons are rumored to be included in the game, but that may not be it, there could be more. Guns from previousCODgames including AK-74, AS Val, SVD Dragunov, and more will make it into the game.
