All of us want to know what exactly the title will be for Nintendo’s next adventure into Breath of the Wild, but there’s a reason it hasn’t been disclosed.
If you were watching the Nintendo Direct yesterday, I’m sure your eyeballs are still in a state of shock regarding the beautifully newBreath of the Wild 2trailer. Although it was expected to, in some form,make an appearance, the familiar rich, blue skies and seeing Link again brought a sense of wonderment upon theZeldacommunity.
Many are probably wondering why we still haven’t recieved a title for this new endeavour with Link and according to Nintendo Treehouse’s Bill Trinen, it would give too much away on what’s in store.
In aninterview with IGN, Trinen stated that even though they do, in fact, have a title forBreath of the Wild 2, they can’t disclose it just yet through the concern of giving too much away about the game’s story.
“As for why we’re holding back on the name, you’ll just have to stay tuned because, obviously, Zelda names are kind of important,” Trinen expressed during the discussion.
“Those subtitles… they start to give little bits of hints about maybe what’s going to happen,” said Trinen and went onto further say that they are completely fine with people referring to the game asBreath of the Wind 2as really, what else would they call it at this stage anyway?
“[Breath of the Wild 2] is going to be shorthand and it’s natural for people to want to find a shorthand way to frame it. We’re still calling it the sequel to Breath of the Wild,”
As well as thenew teaser trailer forBOTW2, Nintendo showcased a new Advance Wars game, a newWarioWare, and even aMetroidtitle called Dread that will release in October. The sequel toBreath of the Wildwill be releasing in 2022 for the Nintendo Switch.
