Boruto: Naruto Next Generationsis currently reaching the heights of its popularity as a narrative, and the manga has completed the time jump and began releasing the post-time skip storyline of the series,Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.

The official follow-up seriesBoruto: Two Blue Vortexis set three years after the events ofBoruto: Naruto Next Generationsand is very different from the former in terms of both subject matter and approach. With the assistance of Eida’s power at the end of the first series, Kawaki firmly established his claim to power as Naruto’s legitimate son, whileBorutowas shunned by the Hidden Leaf Village.
Naruto’s fate has also changed because Kawaki made use of the Space-Time Ninjutsu to send him and Hinata to a distant dimension. Because of this Naruto has been absent from the post-time skip narrative which has disappointed many fans. However, the series just teased the return of Naruto, however fans may not be ready for it.

What Happened To Naruto inBoruto: Two Blue Vortex?
Before the Otsuttsuki began to make their move, Naruto Uzumaki had settled into the life of his dreams inBoruto. As the strongest Shinobi in the world and the 7th Hokage, the burden fell squarely on his shoulders, and he lived up to his title by taking them on in battle. But to do so, he had to summon the Baryon Mode’s abilities, and in doing so, he sacrificed Kurama.
Subsequently,Naruto’sstrength diminished to the extent that he was unable to protect himself against strong characters in the series. This made Kawaki realize how important it was for him to always defend Naruto. For this reason, he decided to kill every member of the Otsutsuki, includingBoruto.

Knowing Naruto would disagree with his decision and try to prevent him from killing his kid, Kawaki utilized the Space-Time Ninjutsu to move Naruto and Hinata, to an out-of-reach dimension. Since then, Naruto has not been seen in the series, and Kawaki used Eida’s power to makeBorutolook like the person who killed Naruto.
