Released almost 10 years ago in 2015, FromSoftware’sBloodborneis still regarded as the studio’s best work to this day. While the chances of seeing a sequel are almost next to impossible, some people have taken it upon themselves to craft a game based on the property.
Over on Twitter/X, 3D animator Maxime Foulquier has posted footage of a Bloodborne game vastly different from the source material, and you know what? It doesn’t look bad at all. Foulquier calls it “Bloodborne Top Down Arena”, and as you can guess, it’s more of a top-down action game than an RPG.

Of course, this being unofficial and all, even if the development continues, the chances of this being released with the Bloodborne brand is almost next to impossible. I mean, Sony’s lawyers will bare their fangs for infringing on their IP. That said, this looks fun, and something I’d want to play even for a little bit.

While Sony is keen to remaster or remake its catalog of first-party games, for some reason or another, the publisher is unwilling to do the same for Bloodborne. Heck, we can’t even get a proper PS5 patch for the PS4 version to help it run better on the new hardware, and fans have been asking for this since the PS5 was released.
Sinceits launch almost 10 years ago, developer FromSoftware has moved on from Bloodborne and released hits likeDark Souls 3,Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and,of course,Elden Ring. However, this little project by a fan proves that the action-RPG is still in the minds of fans around the world.
If you’ve yet to play Bloodborne, it still holds up to this day.
