Pretty sure Rebirth and metaphor votes canibalized each other. Wukong people had no other game to choose, if they would have added Space Marine, Shadows of the Erdtree or Stellar Blade, Wukong could have lost. The mistake was their selection of games is out of touch with players

FF7did win 4 Golden Joystick Awards. All of these were well deserved. The game has the best soundtrack, storytelling, lead performer, and supporting performer.
Black Myth: Wukong Deserved The Top Spot
Black Myth: Wukonghad all it takes to conquer the top spot in the award show. The game is extremely well-made and delivers the hype. It became an instant hit upon release, along with a strong contender for the title of the Game of the Year.
