This guide will show you how you can get the Dawnmaster’s Crest, which will act like a key to getting a weapon that acts as the final reward for theFind The Blood Of Lathanderquestline. This weapon is the Blood of Lathanader, a much sought-after weapon, just like theLight of Creation, theSpear of Night, and thePhalar Aluve Longsword.

Where To Find All Ceremonial Weapons

If you have not yet reachedAct 2, you will need toprogress your playthroughbefore you’re able to acquire that which you seek. In fact, just keep playing until you reachCreche Y’llek; this will make starting this quest much easier. After you find thecreche, leave the doors you entered so that you are back inRosymorn Monistary. Head up thestairsand to the statue ofLathander. You can find it atX: 80, Y:70. At the base of this statue is aplaque. Interact with it. You will now need tocollect several ceremonial weapons. These weapons are intended for this quest and not some of the actual weaponsand itemsyou should be using atvarious stages of the game.

Rusty Mace

To get the first of these weapons, you will need to head on over to the open door on theleftof thesouth sideof the Monastery. you may find it atX: 93, Y: 45. Keep in mind, these coordinates mayvary slightlyfor where your camera is, but the door will be on the screen and easy to see. As you pass through this door, follow the wall on theleft,and you will see an opening that your party can pass through to get intoanother room.Do not go through here yet. Instead, you will head toX: 92, Y:30to find aRusty Mace. Despite its appearance, this is one of the 3 weapons you will be using. There is an actual Ceremonial Mace that you will come by while dealing with some Drunk Kobolds on your way toCreche Y’llek, but this one is a lot faster to get your hands on than heading back there.

Do not accidentally sell or destroy this Rusty Mace if using the Ceremonial Mace is no longer an option.

Sacred Weapons Room in Baldur’s Gate 3

Ceremonial Warhammer

Headbackto the largecrackin the wall and move your party through it. Now, Head up the first three flights ofstairs. Then, you will need to use yourjumpto reach the broken flight of stairs atX:115, Y:26. Jump effectiveness is determined by your Athleticsskill, which in turn performs better with a high StrengthAbility. Head up these broken stairs and take a left to go under anarchway. Turn the camera and headNorthto find somevineshanging from the roof.

Climball the way to the top of the vines. You will see someenemies. There is more than oneAncient Giant Eagle, but there is a chance the game will group them all in the same place, making it seem like there is only one. Either way, you will want tohit them with an AoE attackto deal as much damage at the start as you can. Once these enemies have been dealt with,inspect the nestthey were at to find aCeremonial Warhammer. These enemies should not be too hard, but if you find some of your characters took a rather heavy beating or need to top up their features, you shouldtake a restbefore heading to the next room.

Ceremonial Battleaxe

Head onback down the vinesyou came from, and on theoppositeside will be a large pair ofdoors. You will have a variety of options to open these doors. Feel free to approach it with whichever composition your party has gone with; the most common would be to just useThieves Tools. There is a barricade just past the door that you canjumpover. Inside this room will be theGuardian of Faith. This enemy is actually less of a challenge than the eagles since you cansurroundit before starting the fight and then just relentlessly damage it until it goes down. Alternatively, you can put some frontliners, such as aPaladin,Barbarian, orFighter,right up in the enemy’s face. Then have your more glassy party members in the back row — such as theRogue. You can pick up theCeremonial Battleaxe,where you defeatthis target.

Acquiring The Dawnmaster’s Crest

Jump back outside the room you just fought the Guardian of Faith. To theright, you will find a path where thefloor is broken. Jump over the gap to get toX: 80, Y:50. Follow thecorridor North,and you will come to a room filled withstone pedestals. Placing theweaponsyou have collected on thesepedestalswill cause the crystals on them to light up. After setting down all the weapons you collected, you will see a piece of the wall open up. There will be a pouch inside of it that you can interact with. Inside this pouch will be the Dawnmaster’s Crest. There is also a piece of paper inside this pouch called “Note to the next Dawnmaster”.

What To Do With The Dawnmaster’s Crest

This is an item you will need to get your hands on theBlood of Lathanderweapon, which you will get during theBlood of Lathanderquest. Without the Dawnmaster’s Crest, yourisk setting off a trapwhen you attempt to take the Blood of Lathander mace. If you wish to behold this trap in action, be sure tomake a save beforehand. You can then witness thecatastrophic self-destruction of the chamber, then reload and claim your prize. There is even the option to trigger the trap, and thendisarm it before it goes off. Baldur’s Gate 3 gives players an incredible amount offreedom to do things the way they wantand explore many alternative outcomes.
