Specifically, these mods are ideal to enhance your experiencewith Patch 8’s new content and upgrades.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Console Mods Edited2

Baldur’s Gate 3: 10 Best Console Mods, Ranked

Now that there’s been plenty of time for Baldur’s Gate 3 mods to adapt to console, it’s time to look at some of the best ones.

These mods listed are all Patch 8 tested, as well as being listed for both Mac and Console players, so it’s not exclusive to PC. They just make your new playthroughs Nine Hells of a time.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Better Inventory UI Mod

10Better Map + Inventory UI

Have Better Space For Your Space

The User Interface (UI) for a game can genuinely make or break the experience, especially if it’s really clunky. Unfortunately for Baldur’s Gate 3, the console’s UI is pretty clunky.

Thankfully, there are an equivalent number of mods to counter the UI’s difficulties, and the Better UI mod is the foundation of all of them. Specifically, one of the best additions you could tag on is the Better Inventory UI.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Feat on Every Level Up

This isa simple quality of life mod that makes it easier to tell apart the cluster of items that you’re carrying with you, including backgrounds for some items, so it won’t be confused with trash. It’s just one of the many puzzle pieces that fit right into the overall picture.

Personally, though, the Better Map UI piece is a game-changer, turning the Fog of War into just dimness across the map; so discovering an area doesn’t clear the fog, just lights it up. But, that could be just because I hate the Fog of War gimmick in any video game – especially since this map can’t be cleared in chunks.

Baldur’s Gate 3 ContainersExtended Mod

9Feat on Every Level Up

An Old Dog CAN Learn New Tricks

Passive features do so much to empower your characters, often working in the background to bolster damage output, spell concentration, or some other ability.

Normally, you are only able to get between four to five Feats throughout your levelling up, but of course, there are mods that change it. There are mods thatprovide Feats on every even level – or every level up, period.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Items Better After Patch 8

Having more Feats is the fastest way to make your character significantly more powerful, regardless of what class they have. You could focus on proficiencies, improving your Ability Scores, whatever else you may need that will help you get through the game.

Or, if you’re just in the mood for an insane power trip by stacking passives on top of passives, Feat on Every Level Up is an excellent way to do that.

8ContainersExtended

Organise Your Inventory

You’re going to get a lot of stuff throughout your time playing Baldur’s Gate 3 – if anything, it’s a perfect game for fellow D&D loot goblins.

Not only will carry weight be something to keep track of, but you also have to remember where everything is in your inventory. And, as you pick more things up, it quickly becomes an overwhelmingly cluttered space.

Baldur’s Gate 3: 10 Items Better after Patch 8

Some items in Baldur’s Gate 3 never got any use prior to Patch 8, but now that’s changed for the better.

The modContainersExtended organises your inventory into neat, sectioned containers. It won’t be exclusive to a Camp Supplies pack or an Alchemy Pouch, but will have containers specific to weapons, to armour, to anything else you can think of carrying.

It’s a small quality of life change that makes a world of a difference, especially for people who are more Type A in how they organise their belongings.

7More Enemies in Basic Fights

Especially If You’re OP Already

Once you play through Baldur’s Gate at least once or twice, you have a solid idea of what to expect with your combat encounters. Even more specifically, you’ll know the most efficient ways to take everyone down.

With that in mind, the basic, non-boss combat encounters end upbecoming far easier on repeat playthroughs– which can get boring from the lack of challenge. Upping the difficulty can only do so much.

The More Enemies in Basic Fights mod helps counter this, simply by increasing the number of basic enemies in each fight. For example, the first encounter with the goblins by the Emerald Grove will have more goblins– you get the point.

This is a great way to add a bit more to each encounter, and, in DM’s terms, increase the challenge rating (CR) of said encounter.

6Starting Armour

NOW You’re The Main Character

One of my biggest complaints about BG3 is that there’s no way to skip the Nautiloid tutorial, forcing characters to trudge through Level 1 in the worst possible starting armour we could have.

TheStarting Armour mod gives you a proper set of armour for your class – nothing too overpowered or complicated, but definitely stronger.Plus, it makes you feel like an anime character in their Season 1 outfit.

And, given how some really good armour pieces don’t start to appear until the latter half of Act 1 and going into Act 2, this would be good armour that would take care of you until you’re able to get that gear.

We don’t even need any significant starting weapons for the tutorial, just better armour, and thankfully, this is a mod that will have us well and truly covered.

5Ember’s Lute

Baldur’s Gate 3: The Musical

What hasn’t been said about Bards?Highly charismatic, outgoing in combat, and definitely hilarious in dialogue, so much of the game is catered to Bards. Yet, it’s missing one key element of the class: music.

Despite Bards being one of the best classes in the game, there are actually very few opportunities to flex your musical prowess. Sure, there’s music every time you cast, and you have specific dialogue options, but it’s not at all the same.

Baldur’s Gate 3: All Patch 8 Subclasses, Ranked

Patch 8 for Baldur’s Gate 3 released 12 new classes—and we rank them all.

Enter Ember’s Lute,a mod that basically turns the whole game into a giant musical– and finally gives you a reason to casually perform music in front of a crowd. It allows you to give other players musical proficiency as well, spreading the gift of music into a full-on orchestra.

There are even other versions of Ember’s Lute that play different melodies of music, so you can be in complete control of how your Bard chooses to express themselves.

4Fade’s Equipment Distribution Set

Now With Paladin Gear!

The last time I mentioned Fade’s Equipment Distribution Set when talking about thebest console mods for BG3, Paladin gear wasn’t available yet. And now, that’s changed, meaning that every single class is now represented in Fade’s Equipment.

Plus, they updated the mod to where the gear will appear in your chest back at camp rather than on the Nautiloid, so you don’t have to worry about managing your carry weight during your escape. Worst case, you may just get it naturally at certain points in the game.

Fade’s Equipment Distribution set isa base mod for other mods that specialise in gear and equipment for each class. It’s similar to Improved UI in that regard – but to provide you with themost busted weapons and armouryou could use.

It’s the easiest mod to give you and your Tav the biggest power trip you could have in the game, and making you even more excited to what you’ll loot next.

3UnlockLevelCurve

Finally, Level 20

Due to prioritising in-game balance, players are capped at Level 12, just when they start to get really powerful with their abilities and spells.

And, as someone who religiously playsDungeons & Dragons, it’s a crime that we aren’t capped off at least at Level 15, especially since we’re capped at Level 20. In fact, in the tabletop, we can goaboveLevel 20 in some modules, making you basically a god.

Thankfully, with the UnlockLevelCurve mod, Baldur’s Gate 3 players can enjoy the serotonin of levelling up all the way to max level– the only downside is that it doesn’t come with any higher-level spells (you can just upcast your current spells). That is, unless you get another mod for those.

This is especially ideal for players who value farming for more XP, and genuinely want to be rewarded more often for it.

2PixellBytes’ Tactician Enhanced

Ideal For Larger Parties (Or a Challenge)

One of the most popular mods for this game is Adjustable Party mod, allowing players to bring more than three others with them at any given moment. Even if this potentially means including the entire camp.

That said, it makes each encounter suddenly feel absurdly trivial – to where PixellByte’s Tactician Enhanced makes up for that gap in difficulty.

Baldur’s Gate 3: 10 Best Honour Mode Builds

Honour Mode is a brutal challenge to new and veteran players of Baldur’s Gate 3. These are the best builds to help get through it.

This mod isideal for players who want a challenge, or for parties greater than four. There are different presets and settings so you can customise the exact challenge you and your companions will be facing.

It’s a great way to ensure the longevity of the Adjustable Party mod, all without sacrificing the fun of a good challenge. Or if you happen to be insane and want to makeHonour Modeeven harder, that’s your business.

1New Subclasses

‘Tis the Season

More often than not, you’re going to run into mods that introduce new classes and subclasses into the game. They could be fully homebrewed or simply pulled from one of the already existing guidebooks.

For example, there’s a Mystic class from the Unearthed Arcana, and the Twilight Domain Cleric from Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything. This is just scratching the surface of what is available.

Considering howyour class and subclass basically sets the foundationof the entire gaming experience, it’s important to make sure that you’re actually having fun with what you select. Worst case, you’re able to always go to Withers and change it.

Plus, with the release ofPatch 8 and the 12 new subclasses that came with it, ‘tis the season for a new subclass.
