At the time of publication, the countdown toPersona 5 Royal’slaunch here in the U.S. is down to its final hour, and a survey attached to the game might be pointing to what comes next.
The survey, selectable viaRoyal’s drop down menu on the PlayStation 4 home screen, asks fans a series of questions that mostly relate to why they decided to buy the game and attempt to get a grasp of what type of player they are.

But it’s the very last question that’s the stinger: “How interested would you be in purchasingPersona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikersif it were to be released in the West?”
Developed in a collaboration between Omega Force (of Dynasty Warriors fame) and Atlus' P-Studio,Scrambletrades in the mainlinePersonagames' turn-based RPG style for full-on action-oriented gameplay. It’s also a follow up that, initially to the surprise of many, stands as a full-fledged sequel to the originalPersona 5.
The game released in Japan back in February for the PS4 and Nintendo Switch, andtopped the sales chartsin its first week on store shelves. But despite being a relatively high-profile title compared to previousPersonafollow-ups and spin-offs, andPersona 5itself having performedincredibly well across the globe,Scramblehas yet to be confirmed for a Western launch.
However,Scramblebeing asked about inRoyal’ssurvey paired with SEGA (Atlus' parent company)registering a trademark forPersona 5 Strikerslate last year points to the idea that the game’s status for the rest of the world will be changing pretty soon.
As forPersona 5 Royal, the expansively updated re-release has been drawing rave reviews. DualShockers' own Allisa James absolutely adores the game, writing in her reviewthat “for an updated re-release,Persona 5 Royalis certainly worth the price of admission for newcomers. And if you enjoyed the original and are eager to jump back into the fray, then there’s certainly more than enough new content and improvements to justify a second purchase."
