BetweenAtelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land,Tower Of Aghasba, andOnce Human, I want to collect materials in every open-world exploration game I play.
But what I love even more is building personal bases, where I can organize my inventory and build unique furniture. Though gathering materials can be tedious, the excitement of discovering rare and unique materials beats everything.

The same holds true forAtelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land. you may use the housing system to build customized bases across the map and then use them as you see fit.
Let’s review some base-building basics without further ado and help you set up a new base.

Where Can You Build?
There are three types of spots where you can build. The first one is theAtelier (your first mini-base),camping sites, and actual building areasthat unlock after purifying a manabound area.
Thehouse and campsite iconson the map are where you can build your bases. Unfortunately, you mustexplore the question mark symbolsto find a few of these places, and some building areas are locked behind a few quests.

Each building area has a certain limitfor the amount of furniture you can place in it. The game won’t allow placing more facilities at a building site beyond the construction limit.

Here’s how to unlock and use the Friend Actions with your party members in Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land.
Know The Requirements
Here comes the tricky part. Once you’ve decided on an area to build, you must consider the building cost. You can see it by opening the building menu from the radial menu.
As soon as you step into a building zone, you’ll seean orange-colored line indicating the building area. Hold the key bound to the detailed display to open the radial area (Hold Q on a keyboard) and click on the building menu.

Every item will have some material requirements, which you can synthesize immediately if an item isn’t available. Thecontrols are listed on the menu, so you don’t have to remember key bindings for this.
If you want to learn all the intricate controls, I suggest opening the Key binding sub-menu from the options menu. However, most basic controls are visible on the display, such as enabling grid snapping, relocating, selecting, synthesizing, and placing facilities.

Atelier Yumia: 10 Must Know Beginner Tips
If you’re trying Atelier Yumia for the first time, here are the must-know tips for the game.
Building The Base
Atelier is the first basewe’re introduced to where we can place some basic facilities. However, it’s not spacious enough to include more furniture and high-grade facilities that are unlocked later in the game.
There is furniture and equipment that buffs existing facilities' output, but we need a bigger space to place them. I recommend following through theinitial story queststo purify the Manabound region andfind a spacious spot for a main base.
I suggest building these special facilities at locations with a hut-like icon. If you don’t want to spend time customizing a base from scratch, you can always use thepreset builds available in the game.
Plus, these arespecial facility builds you can get from the progress of the Pioneering effort, further enhancing your facilities. But they take quite some time to get, as you have toexplore the regionsandfulfill certain tasks.
I suggest placing theSimple Atlar, Container, Recipe Recall Station, and Workbench for a minimal working base. These facilities are the bare minimum you need to progress through the easy mode and craft key quest items.
If you want to remove an item to make space for any of these, select the hand icon from the building menu and use it to reposition or remove an item.
