Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively’s controversy took another turn when the actor’s legal team went ahead and posted ten-minute-long footage of the dance sequence between the two from the set ofIt Ends with Us. In the behind-the-scenes video, Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively can be seen laughing and chatting as they swayed to the music for a total of three takes.

While Justin Baldoni and his team hoped to clear the air about Blake Lively’s allegations against him, the actress’ legal team responded to the video and turned the tables against the director himself. The Internet remains divided on whether or not she was uncomfortable during the moment.
Justin Baldoni releases behind-the-scenes footage, Blake Lively replies
Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively are currently in a messy he-said-she-said battle after the latter filed a lawsuit against the former for s*xual harassment and defamation. At one point in the lawsuit, her lawyer claimed that “Mr. Baldoni improvised physical intimacy that had not been rehearsed, choreographed, or discussed with Ms. Lively, with no intimacy coordinator involved.” (ViaInTouch Weekly). In return, Baldoni filed a $250 million lawsuit against the New York Times and a$400 million lawsuitagainst Lively and her husband.
In response to Lively and her team’s claims, Baldoni’s legal team released a behind-the-scenes video of the two actors dancing together for a slow-motion montage. The video obtained byEntertainment Tonightbegins with a description that reads,“Ms. Lively’s complaint alleges that during a scene Mr. Baldoni and Ms. Lively were filming for a slow dance montage, Mr. Baldoni was behaving inappropriately. The following videos captured on June 28, 2025, clearly refute Ms. Lively’s characterization of his behavior.”

Since it was a scene with no dialogue, Lively and Baldoni laughed and talked throughout the ten minutes, with the addition of some intimate moments. The pair also talked about their real-life partners,Ryan Reynoldsand Emily Baldoni. Lively also jokes with Baldoni about the size of his nose.
After the release of the footage, Lively’s legal team hit back claiming that the video did nothing but solidify theGossip Girlactress’ claims about being uncomfortable around Baldoni and him making unwanted advances towards her.

Blake Lively’s legal team turns the tables on Justin Baldoni
In a statement released toUS Weekly, Lively’s legal team claimed that while the video was supposed to be in Baldoni’s favor, it only further proved Lively’s words against the film’s director.
They said,“Every frame of the released footage corroborates, to the letter, what Ms. Lively described in Paragraph 48 of her Complaint.”The statement added that the video clearly shows him“leaning in towards Ms. Lively, attempting to kiss her, kissing her forehead, rubbing his face and mouth against her neck, flicking her lip with his thumb, caressing her, telling her how good she smells,”and remaining out of character.

The Internet pointed out that Baldoni commenting about her smelling good was him talking about her spray tan. As can be seen in the video, Lively says,“I’m probably getting spray tan on you,”to which he replies,“It smells good.”

Her legal team continued that her discomfort is visible to any woman who has been inappropriately treated at her workplace.
Any woman who has been inappropriately touched in the workplace will recognize Ms. Lively’s discomfort. They will recognize her attempts at levity to try to deflect the unwanted touching. No woman should have to take defensive measures to avoid being touched by their employer without their consent.

While the question remains whether the moments really were improvised on Baldoni’s end with Lively having no idea about it all, the Internet seems to be divided on who is at fault.
Take a look at some reactions below:
She looks so uncomfortable
You can tell she’s uncomfortable when he starts going off script. Ew
Basically Blake Lively was trying to flirt with Justin Baldoni and he turned her down. That’s why she claimed sexual harassment and all of these other frivolous claims. Typical and predictablepic.twitter.com/5JUckNk0SQ
The Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively slow dance clip that just got released is so awkward. He is doing nothing wrong and she looks like she is flirting. I’m not saying she is but “hehe more than cute”? Would love to see her harassment claims since he’s providing so much evidencepic.twitter.com/q0F9P5LZB6
Lively’s legal team also blasted their opponents for releasing the video to the media“rather than presenting it as evidence in court”as a way of manipulating the public.
However, Baldoni’s lawyer shot back calling out the irony of the situation stating,“Prior to filing her lawsuit in court, Ms. Lively went to The New York Times in an effort to publicly destroy Justin Baldoni. When Mr. Baldoni exercises his right to publicly defend himself by putting forth actual facts and evidence, for Ms. Lively and team this instantly becomes morally and ethically wrong.”
Clearly, there is a long way to go before the world comes face-to-face with the truth about what actually happened on the set ofIt Ends with Us.
It Ends withUsis available to watch on Netflix.
