The next game inThe Legend of Zeldaseries may soon be launching onNintendo Switch 2, as the game has received an age rating in Brazil, signalling that it’s ready for release.
The firstNintendo Switch 2 Directlacked any announcements for new mainline Legend of Zelda games. Now that Tears of Kingdom and Echoes of Wisdom are out in the world, no one knows what’s next for Link, outside of a live-action movie in a couple of years.

Deltarune Chapters 1-4 Coming To Nintendo Switch 2 At Launch
It was revealed during the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct that Deltarune Chapters 1-4 are coming to the system when it launches on July 09, 2025.
The debut Nintendo Switch 2 Direct did have one new Legend of Zelda announcement -Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment. The game currently lacks a release date, but a Twitter/X user & Nintendo journalist named Necro Filipe has shared that the game has been rated in Brazil, hinting that it’s coming soon.

Hyrule Warriors Age Rating Could Point To Nintendo Direct Coming Soon
There are many rumors claiming that a Nintendo Direct will happen at the end of July, now thatDonkey Kong Bananzais out and theJuly 2025 Pokemon Presentshas been broadcast. There are plenty of games that need release dates, and that would be the ideal place to announce them.
There has only been a small amount ofHyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment footageshown to the public, but it’s likely close to release. It appears to be heavily based on Age of Calamity, the last Musou Zelda game developed by Koei Tecmo, except with the power of the Switch 2 backing it up.

Nintendo previously confirmed that Age of Imprisonment is launching in 2025, and with less than half the year to go, it feels like it’s something that needs to be given a date soon if it’s going to come out this year. Hopefully, this mythical July Direct will flesh out the rest of the Switch 2’s schedule.
