The current season ofFortnite Battle Royalehas introduced players to refreshed mechanics, new weapons, map changes, and more. That being said, the game’s ever-expanding potential for new content keeps being the highlight, as speculations for the next season have started surfacing.

The new Chapter introduced a lot of interesting mechanics.

According to sources, it seems that the upcoming season will revolve around Greek mythos, introducing new characters to the battle pass. Furthermore, it’s likely that the game’s storyline will shift towards bringing these characters into ongoing in-game events.

The New Season Is Reportedly Codenamed ‘Odyssey’

The battle royale’s current season, Underground, is themed around a group of new (and old) characters who are working in secret to plan their moves against ongoing threats to the map. All of this will likely change with the arrival of a fresh season, sometime around March 8. Until then, there’s still time to unlock Peter Griffin and other characters.

Recently, user KvasirTheOld onRedditshared a post that included multiple images of upcoming characters, along with leaks of all that players can expect from the season. As it turns out, the Greek mythology-themed season is likely to be called Odyssey, paying homage to the rich cultural roots such mythos holds.

Keeping in mind the capabilities of Unreal Engine 5 and newer visuals for the game, it’s beyond imagination how lovely the map could look. Something that would resembleImmortals Fenyx Rising, maybe? We’re yet to see if these speculations may find their way to the actual game.

Furthermore, this isn’t the first time we’ve witnessed amajor crossover, showing the possibility of switching up mechanics a little. Bringing characters from other franchises that have a thing or two with Greek mythos would be great.

This Would Be a Good Time for Kratos to Return to Fortnite

According tostats, Kratos was last seen inFortnite Battle Royale’sitem shop on June 14, 2025. It’s been a long while since the legendary PlayStation character returned toFortnite, and the Greek-themed season would be the ideal time for him to come back.

If the game does see the character re-entering the map, there’s a chance we will also see some backstory aligned withFortnite’snarrative. After all, characters and cosmetics often get their own trailer every time Epic decides to market it.

Kratos’ legendary tales from Greek mythos (before he ventured into the Nine Realms) can find a place in the battle royale direction of the popular game, especially when a Greek-themed season has the potential to introduce new characters and stories to the mix.

Fans are requesting Kratos to finally come back.

Do you think fans will really get to have Kratos again in the game? What are your thoughts on the Greek-themed season? Let us know in the comments below.
