Assassin’s Creedis one of the most original franchises in the video game industry. Putting you in the shoes of a secret organization that wants to find the truth about who is running the world and how to stop it.

All of this is controlled by a machine that can synchronize your DNA with your ancestor and give you abilities that you know you have. Now some fans are not so happy with the direction the franchise has taken in recent years, and with the upcoming release being in the same vein, this may be a problem.
Why has Ubisoft gotten so far away from the first Assassin’s Creed?
The firstAssassin’s Creedwas released in 2007, right before thePrince of Persiasaga was not doing so well. Two years later,Assassin’s Creed 2took the industry by surprise, upgrading all the good things that the first one had and adding all kinds of new mechanics with a much more polished story with Ezio Auditore as the protagonist. Later, the franchise continued to mutate, with less faithful games to theAssassin’s Creedstyle.
One Reddit user is not very happy about the RPG mechanics of the last couple of games, likeAssassin’s Creed Valhalla. The user, jsimonfab, said:“It feels like a totally different game, plagiarizing some of the most iconic elements of the franchise (the blue gray color palette, no one’s favorite) while taking itself so frigging seriously.”This user addressed the identity problem that the saga has been suffering in the last couple of years.

The other thing that he remarks on is that the parkour aspect has no sense because of the lack of population in these lands.Assassin’s Creed: Valhallamade us travel across the coldest countries in the world with Viking invasions to loot and destroy different parts of England. Other users of Reddit began to comment on this post in the official AC Subreddit. User ch4m3le0n, wrote:“Not sure why Ubisoft feels the need to continue making fantastic open-world adventure games, then messing them up by trying to shoehorn them into the AC franchise.”
The future of Assassin’s Creed
In the past year,UbisoftlaunchedAssassin’s Creed: Mirage, a shorter version of the principal franchise costing only U$50, something that you do not see very much in the industry these days. The future of the franchise has two major projects ahead that could be released in the next few years.
Assassin’s Creed code name Redhas not been released yet, but some details are commonly known. This game will be in Japan, something for which the fans have been waiting for a long time. According toUbisoft, it will be one of the greatest games in the franchise. Several insiders say this game will be released this year.

Then we haveAssassin’s Creed Jade; this one will take place in ancient China and will be exclusively mobile.Ubisofthas already shown some gameplay for the game. For the moment, there is no release date yet.

I’m a big fan of movies and videogames in general. I really love Pokémon and Godzilla. One of my favorite games is The Last of Us, Part II. A compelling and well-written story is always welcome.
