This series is a little different from most that are available now. Instead of following high school-aged students, this light novel and manga series follows a middle-aged man with somewhat average dreams. When a new type of VRMMO (Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online) game is released, a 38-year-old man, Taichi Tanaka, decides to play as a young avatar named Earth. It should be noted that Taichi is nothing special. He is a typical salaryman working a regular office job, but in his free time he enjoys playing video games.

However, in the VRMMO game, players are free to do anything they want. So what does Taichi decide to do? Naturally, he decides to choose skills for his character that other players have deemed useless. Being the main character is boring anyway and Taichi has simple dreams:enjoy life in a virtual reality. Stay tuned for more information and release dates for the series to follow along on Taichi’s adventure with Earth’s set of mismatched skills.

The TV anime announcement is new though, so no TV stations or streaming platforms have been announced for the series as of yet. There’s also no news about the cast or staff, but it should be interesting to see what role AlphaPolis plays in the series since they’re the sole releaser of the novels and manga. You won’t find volumes of this onCrunchyroll,VIZ, or any other trusted site where manga normally lives. Alpha Manga currently offers a“wait and read free”option where certain chapters are available for free, but the catch is, you can only read one chapter every 24 hours.
