Multiple Japanese sources reported that Japanese site Dengeki Online mistakenly published today an article revealing that13 Sentinels: Aegis Rimwill be launching for PS4 in Fall 2019 in Japan.
The Dengeki Online article was scheduled for July 26, 2025, but was mistakenly published today, on March 12. Dengeki Online has since unpublished the article. However, the article’s description is still visible on Google search results, and on Dengeki Online’s internal search engine. The article’s images are still accessible as well, confirming that the article itself still exists and will be published on March 14. The article’s description says “let’s take a look at the famous RPGs whose new low priced releases are bundled with the prologue demo of13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim,releasing in Fall 2019”.

The Dengeki Online article covers the13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Prologuedemo, and the new low priced releases ofOdin Sphere LeifthrasirandDragon’s Crown Pro. The13 Sentinelsdemo isn’t free and there are four ways to obtain it. Most notably, it is bundled with these new low priced releases ofOdin Sphere LeifthrasirandDragon’s Crown Pro. Vanillware announced13 Sentinels: Aegis Rimback in September 2015. Following atrailer in 2017, the game was supposed to release on PS4 and PlayStation Vita in 2018. However,13 Sentinelsended up beingpushed back and the Vita version got canceled.Vanillaware’s director George Kamitani reminded everyone the game is still coming with his2019 happy new year greetings. Soon after, Atlus published abrand new trailerin January 2019, revealing the names of the game’s 13 protagonists and their seiyuu for the first time.
While13 Sentinels: Aegis Rimis a 2D scrolling game and looks similar toPrincess Crown, the Sega Saturn game which inspired all of Vanillware’s games fromOdin SpheretoMuramasa: the Demon Blade, it’s important to keep in mind that Vanillware describes13 Sentinels: Aegis Rimas a “Dramatic Adventure” game. This means that unlike its action-oriented predecessors,13 Sentinels: Aegis Rimwill have a bigger focus on storytelling rather than action gameplay, and could be compared to a visual novel.
13 Sentinels: Aegis Rimwas already announced in the west as well, but with no release estimate, and we don’t know yet if the13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Prologuedemo will be coming west or not.
