Moore, this sci-fi drama explores a different reality in which the Soviet cosmonaut Alexei Leonov became the first human to land on the moon. Losing the opportunity to be the first on the moon greatly devastates the scientists at NASA. This triggers a never-ending space race which is explored in the following seasons.

Season one starts in the early 1970s, and this “what-if” scenario blooms into a complex exploration of ambition, societal norms, technological advancements, and political rivalry in subsequent seasons. The series is interestingly paced, with each season set in the following decade.

However,Mystic Queststands out from conventional workplace comedies in terms of the creative risks it takes. The show has some episodes set in the 70s and some entirely devoid of the main characters. With how the show reinvents itself, it is television’s most refreshing and biting comedy.

With a talented cast including McElhenney, Charlotte Nicado, Ashley Burch, Imani Hakim, and many others, this workplace comedy is borderline addictive.

3Trying(2020-Present)

The streaming platform hosts several British series. And among many such series is the disarmingly genuine and hilariousTrying.Created by Andy Wolton, the show stars Esther Smith and Rafe Spall who play Nikki and Jason the protagonists of the show.

Nikki and Jason are a working-class couple who discover their inability to conceive a child and resort to adoption. However, this requires them to become model candidates, a feat they immensely struggle to achieve. For the first three seasons, Nikki and Jason are seen dealing with the challenges and obstacles that come their way in the adoption process. However, the tide changes and the show jumps ten years into the future, showing the couple in a different chapter of their lives.

Brooklyn Prince does a phenomenal job of playing the main character of Lysiak. Furthermore, the show’s initial impression could be that it is a children’s show but it deals with the complex themes of corruption and parent-child relationships making it appealing to viewers of all ages.

M. Night Shyamalandoes it again.Servantis a psychological thriller that has a viewer hooked from the get-go. And with each episode passing, the show gets much more unnerving. It follows a couple, Dorothy and Sean Turner, who have lost their child and struggling to cope. Until they find a replacement for their child in a reborn doll, and hire a nanny, Leanne to look after it.

However, things get interesting when Leanne is revealed to have supernatural powers but they are not in her control. And to take things over the edge, Dorothy’s brothers learn of Leanne’s powers as his sister struggles with mental illness. Many such twists keep the story lively, scary, unsettling, and strangely funny.

A definite watch for horror and thriller fans and others are advised to not watch it alone, at night and with lights off.

10Shrinking(2023–present)

Shrinkingputs an interesting twist on the practice of seeking or rather providing therapy. It is a case where the psychiatrist lets go of the ethics of his job and instead of reserving judgments tells his patients what he really thinks.

Jimmy Laird, who himself is dealing with immense grief after losing his wife tries a more direct approach to helping his patients by telling them what he truly thinks of their situation. And is surprised that his newfound approach to treatment greatly helps his patients overcome their issues.Harrison Fordalso makes a rare television appearance on the show as Laird’s senior and colleague.

The show’s spin of a therapist getting better at his job through his own grief creates a lighthearted comedy-drama that is a must-watch.
